The Guinness world record for the largest open sandwich was a barbecue pork bun weighing 606.45 kg (1,337 lb) which was prepared by Moore's BBQ (USA) in New Bern, North Carolina, USA.
Guinness World Records also recognized the longest picnic: it measures 1,979 m (6,492 ft 9 in) and was organised at the Ziegelwiese, Halle Saale, Germany.
Every summer, Iron Barley (5510 Virginia Avenue; 314-351-4500) keeps upping the ante for the world's largest BLT.
