The Guinness world record for the longest sand sculpture measures 27.3 km (16.96 miles) long and was achieved by the infotainment programme Abenteuer Leben, produced by kabel eins (Germany), with the help of 11,000 volunteers.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the largest sand painting measured 9,028 m² (97,176.19 ft²) and was created by over 2,500 participants organised by the Brahma Kumaris (India) at Firodia School in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India.
"It's got five little holes in it and it's kind of rare because most sand dollars have six holes that you find," Augie said.
"But mine had five so it's a little rarer than the others. It's (12.73) centimeters in diameter. ... It's kind of a whitish beige color."
When her son found the sand dollar, Amy Balicki turned to an encyclopedia to learn more about the marine animal. What she found was that the average sand dollar was 5 to 10 centimeters.
