Fastest 0-300-0 km/h car: Koenigsegg Agera R sets world record (Video)

The Guinness world record for the oldest functioning car is La Marquise, a steam-powered, four-wheeled, four-seater vehicle, manufactured by De Dion Bouton et Trépardoux (France) in 1884.
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the smallest roadworthy car, set by "Wind Up" which measures 104.14 cm (41 in) high, 66.04 cm (26 in) wide and 132.08 cm (52 in). It was created by Perry Watkins (UK) and finished and measured in Wingrave, UK.
The record was captured at Koenigsegg's proving ground in Ängelholm, Sweden this past September.
This achievement makes the Agera R the fastest two-seater production car to complete the 0-300-0-km/h dash.
"We had high hopes when we set out to do this record. But the end result was truly astonishing," company founder and CEO Christian von Koenigsegg said in a release.
Powered by a twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8, the Agera R produces 1099hp and 885lb-ft of torque. Mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, the 1330kg supercar can reach in excess of 245mph.
Other world records attempted include 0-300 km/h (14.53 sec); 0-200 mph (17.68sec); 300-0 km/h (6.66sec); 200-0 mph (7.28sec); and 0-200-0 mph (24.96sec).
"This is Koenigsegg's 4th Guinness World Record since 2003 and it shows our continued commitment to build hypercars that deliver beyond expectations."
