Guinness World Records recognized the world record for the largest lasagne: it 4,865 kg (10,725 lb 7 oz) and was created by Magillo Restaurant and Macro Supermarket (both Poland), in Wieliczka, Poland.
The Guinness world record for the longest strand of pasta measured 3,776 m (12,388 ft 5 in) and was achieved by LAWSON INC. (Japan) at Time 24 Building, Aomi, Koto-ku, Tokyo , Japan.
Lesley Kinsella, leader of the Redbourn Priory Beaver Scouts, said: "It is an unusual record but it was something that would work with young ones. We wanted to pick something that, if we all worked hard, we could achieve.
The pasta, donated by Sainsbury's in Woodhall Farm, Hemel Hempstead, will now be given to the Rev Will Gibbs of Redbourn's St Mary's Church, so he can feed it to his pigs, the Hemel Gazette reported.
