The previous Guinness world record for the longest cooking marathon was 24 hr 30 min 12 sec and was achieved by Dr. Chef K. Damodaran (India).
Guinness World Records also recognized the world record for the most people cooking simultaneously: 150, achieved by Municipio de Monterrey (Mexico).
"It was a bit challenging. I hit a wall around the 25 hour mark," he said.
"I said I would try to make it to the 32 hour mark and I didn't want to be a liar by not doing it.
"I had to man up and put mind over matter."
The world record attempt was organised by Pastoral Agricultural Association president Mick Boyce who thought the event would be an added attraction at this year's Bowen Show.
